Fixation

NTOC supplies various fixation systems so that surgical instruments can be used in an efficient, functional, flexible and safe manner. We use high-quality silicone and stainless steel fixation material, instrument nets and all associated accessories. The fixations are usable for all specialisms, such as Neurosurgery, Traumatology, Orthopaedics and Surgery. Our use of high-quality, flexible machines provides unlimited options with respect to manufacturing both customised products and series of products.

The entire set of instruments is held in place using the Minimal Contact Concept (MCC) developed by NTOC. This method of fixation follows the contours of the different instruments and holds them in place using the minimum number of contact points. The system is strong enough to keep the set of instruments in place while taking in account the fragility of the instruments.

Advantages of fixation are the following:

  • Promoting patient and staff safety.
  • Ordered, organised and protected set of instruments.
  • Systematic support for the completeness check process.
  • Optimum cleaning because the instruments are positioned as advantageously as possible.
  • Longer instrument lifespan due to minimisation of damage.
  • Contributes to efficiency, accuracy, peace of mind and continuity before, during and after surgery.
  • Simplifies standardisation and makes it easier to harmonise content and function.
